Power Skating Clinics
Skating is by far the most essential skill of ice hockey; if you can’t skate, you can’t play. The focus of our power skating camp is to improve each hockey player’s quickness, balance, speed, agility and power through the use of a series of specifically designed hockey drills and exercises.
The Pinnacle Power Skating program is designed to teach, develop and reinforce proper skating techniques to provide the novice skater a strong foundation and self-confidence from which to grow as a hockey player; and will allow the more seasoned player to perform elite level skating maneuvers with total confidence.
Clinic Dates and Times: TBD
Checking With Confidence Clinics
Pinnacle Hockey’s Checking With Confidence Clinics are primarily designed to teach players at the 14U, 16U and 18U age groups, but proper body contact can be taught to all age groups, both boys and girls. This clinic will teach players how to apply checking in the best tactical, technical and ethically responsible way. Developing sound checking skills for all players is a necessity. Not only does a team’s defensive ability largely rely on each individual’s ability to check effectively, but the safety of all players is directly dependent on how well they are trained to protect themselves. In addition, the safety of the opponent is also jeopardized if players are not trained to check the right way. The right way includes physical ability, technical skills and ethical judgement.
Sundays 8/9 & 8/23 from 2:00-3:30 - First 30 minutes will be dryland checking in full equipment, players will wear athletic shoes instead of skates for dryland.
Fee: $40 per session

The Ice Mine's five Shooting Rooms provide a relaxed non-competitive environment where players can really focus on learning and mastering the technique of each shot and strengthen those shooting muscles. Learn and develop your shot by yourself or with an Instructor, 1-on-1, in the Shooting Rooms. For a half-hour, we try to shoot between 50 to 200 pucks on a specific shot.
To become a great shooter, a player needs to practice at least three to four hundreds shots a week. Hockey is one of the sports where players practice the least on their shots. The reason is simple: while on the ice, players spend little time on shooting. Every hockey player from the beginner to the junior levels needs to practice shooting off the ice on their own. While shooting, they will develop their skills of accuracy, power and the quick release. From that, the off-ice shooting will easily be adapted to shooting on the ice.
We offer a variety of Shooting Room Packages for individual training as well as Insructor led training:
PRIVATE PUCK SKILLS TRAINING - All Lessons are 30 minutes
Are you struggling to score or stick handle? The Ice Mine has the solution for you! We offer half hour private lessons, conducted one on one in the Shooting Rooms, with a skills coach. Private lessons offer an environment free of distractions to allow you to improve at your own pace. The coach will cater the lesson to the player's needs. Players can elect to work on shooting, puck handling, or a combination of both. Lessons are most beneficial when we are able to work with a player on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to allow the player to build on the skills set.
Private Puck Skills & Goalie Training 1-on-1 Sessions - 1 Session for $30
Shooting Room Packages (No Instruction - All Sessions are 30 minutes):
